THE SOAP MARKET CUTICLE OIL & STICK – $14.95

Once again, I am here to sing the praises of another indie cuticle product. This time it’s The Soap Market’s Cuticle Oil and Cuticle Stick. This one has got to be a handbag must have, seeing as though my cuticles always seem to get dry around the winter time [no duh, so does everyone else]. This mixture of wheat germ oil, camellia oil, avocado oil, apricot and jojoba oil and sea buckthorn blend together to keep your hands hydrated and your nails looking sharp. Plus, it smells good- which is always a problem when it comes to these types of products. These items are vegan and cruelty free so I LOVE supporting hand crafted items like these. Take a click around and don’t forget to tell them that Varnishta sent you!

SALLY HANSEN NAIL GROWTH MIRACLE

SALLY HANSEN NAILGROWTH MIRACLE – WALGREEN [$9.49]

When it comes to a Sally Hansen product that I swear by- it has to be the Nailgrowth Miracle Serum. I had a lot of problems with nail growth serums before, mainly because they grown your nails, but they do NOT make them stronger. They are long but you have to deal with them being brittle and weak.

Not with this little miracle in a bottle. When I use the Nailgrowth Miracle Serum it not only makes my nails longer, but stronger on top of everything else! I’m not usually a person to make a $10.00 investment on a bottle of polish; but I needed this one badly. Especially with all the nail problems I’ve had after my acrylics. I am downright thankful I own this product. I wouldn’t be singing it’s praises unless it worked for me.

Check out your local Walgreens, Walmart or drug store and see if they have this baby in stock!

MY NAIL HAS SPLIT! HAAAAALP!

So as I’ve said before- my nails are very damaged due to the acrylics I was rocking for the Summer. They’ve been growing out just fine when I noticed one of my nails has split down the middle. It hurt for two days, but the pain has gone away. At this point there is just a split that says “Look at me, I’m damaged!”

Are there any suggestions on how I should handle this? Or do I just have to wait for my nail to grow out and just cut it accordingly?
